The Development District of Central Texas was incorporated in the State of Texas as a non-profit corporation on June 24, 2002. The District provides economic development assistance to the counties of Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Milam, San Saba, Mills, and Lampasas. A Board of Directors, made up of 27 representatives from local governments, chambers of commerce, business, economic development organizations and minority interest, govern the corporation. The Development District of Central Texas has completed a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). This document is a detailed plan of action complete with vision, goals, and objectives that will guide the district in fostering an environment for sustainable economic development while balancing the available resources of the region. |
